Board of Supervisors
St Johns Improvement District (SJID) has a governing board known as the Board of Supervisors (the "Board"). The Board is comprised of three individuals elected for staggered terms of three years by landowners of the District at each annual meeting. Each landowner is entitled to one vote in person or by proxy for each acre of land owned within the jurisdictional boundaries of the District.
The everyday management and business activites of the District and the directives of the Board are carried out by the Administrator. The Administrator reports directly to the Board. The Administrator performs all financial management and fiscally related activities.
The Board and the Administrator appoint the District Engineer, Legal Counsel, and Accountant.
The District also has two advisory committees, the Finance Committee and the Operating Committee. Committee members are appointed by the Chairman of the Board.
Daily operations and maintenance activities are conducted under the leadership of the Operations Manager.

SJID is operational seven days a week, as such work crews have a staggered week so that there is always someone on-site during regular hours.
